2006 Asia-Pacific Workshop on Genetic Programming
|
General
Genetic Programming has a strong record in the Asia-Pacific region,
with GP workers in a wide range of countries in Asia and the Pacific
Rim. The workshops aim to bring researchers in the field together to
promote collaboration and cooperation in the region.
The third Asia-Pacific Workshop on Genetic Programming (ASPGP'06), following on from the highly successful ASPGP'03 and ASPGP'04 in Canberra and Cairns, Australia, aims to bring together colleagues working in the field of genetic programming, and closely related approaches. A principal aim of the Workshop is to establish a continuing forum for collaboration between researchers in the Asia-Pacific region and beyond. ASPGP'06, associated with the Vietnamese
ITMATH'06 conference and
the 6th International Conference on Simulated Evolution and Learning (SEAL'2006 - Hefei, China), will be held in Hanoi, Vietnam (an old and charming city sometimes known as 'little Paris in Asia').
ASPGP'06 invites authors to submit original and unpublished work demonstrating current research in Genetic Programming theory and applications. ASPGP'06 will focus on, but is not limited to, the following themes:
- search spaces:
- programming languages
- tree-based structure
- grammar-based structures
- systems of equations
- and similar search spaces of unbounded dimensionality
- search methods:
- genetic and evolutionary methods
- swarm-based search
- distributional search
- particle-swarm search
- and similar stochastic search methods
- applications
Requests concerning ASPGP'06 could be addressed to the
Workshop Secretariats (contacting via e-mail is preferable).
